Levy County Schools proudly invite students of all ages to take part in the Great American Patch-Off Art Competition in recognition of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month!
This project holds special meaning for our Superintendent, Mrs. Boyle, as the founder of The Oliver Patch Project is a member of her family. Six years ago, her cousin’s oldest son was diagnosed with cancer. Today, he is a survivor and from that journey, the Great American Patch Off was born. Out of their experience grew a mission to spread awareness and hope for families facing pediatric cancer, while inspiring young people to live out the Golden Rule.
This inspiring initiative encourages students to create original, uplifting artwork designed to bring hope and encouragement to young cancer patients. Selected pieces will be transformed into embroidered patches, becoming part of a powerful message of support and solidarity.
To date, this program has delivered over 85,000 "patches of hope" to children and teens battling cancer across the country.
